+++ PLATFORM FOR COGNITIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (SHAREHOLDERS) +++

One of our clients is a company specializing in the development of cognitive artificial intelligence (CAI). It describes its technology as "digital brains" with an artificial nervous system (ANS) that can be used for applications in buildings, vehicles, and robots with sensors, actuators, and "organs." Their approach is based on using biological intelligence as a template to create a AI that is self-learning and accumulates knowledge in real time. This is achieved through technologies such as programmable neural nets (PNNs), a self-learning mechanism (SLM), and a type of "connectome" (ANS) that maps the connections of the neural networks.

Technology development: Our client is developing an AI platform based on FPGA (field-programmable gate array) hardware and programmed in VHDL with a real-time operating system. This platform is extremely efficient (low power consumption, high response speed) and is designed for edge AI applications, i.e., directly in on-site devices and in a wide variety of environments even under military conditions.

Areas of application: The AI serves as the "brain" for smart buildings in building management, autonomous vehicles as control systems for land-, sea-, air-, defence- or space vehicles, or in robotics in general.

Special features: The technology operates at a low frequency (50 MHz), has extremely low power consumption (<100 W), and plans for a future with radiation-resistant ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits), making it attractive for specialized environments such as space.

Our client's services differ from conventional AI, which is based on cloud computing and data centers. Their focus on edge AI with self-learning, autonomous systems could have disruptive potential in markets such as robotics, autonomous driving, or IoT. The planned transition to ASICs with radiation-resistant, persistent memory technology (eMRAM) positions Tipalo for highly demanding markets such as aerospace and defense. The ability of AI to learn and communicate independently (e.g., between AIs for knowledge exchange) could differentiate it from data-dependent, centralized AI systems and lead to a revolution in this field.

Why is it attractive to investors?

Our client is particularly exciting for investors because it occupies a niche in the AI industry that targets hardware-based, autonomous, and energy-efficient solutions. The potential lies in the application of particularly high-growth sectors such as autonomous mobility, intelligent infrastructure, military applications and sophisticated self-learning machines, combined with a unique technical approach.
